**First off, I would give 4.5 stars, but there's no option to do so.**
They have a really great setup here, and there's lots of seating, even when busy.
The beers were delicious and well-made. The half star is for the basic cheeseburger, not very flavorful - add some seasoning to the meat, and it's a 5-star. The queso was the standout on the chips/dip app.
We would return, great atmosphere and great options all around.
Wow - great beer and great food. The true test of a kitchen (former chef) is how they execute when when they’re absolutely slammed… this kitchen delivered! Our burgers were perfect. The pub burger hit on so many levels. Superstrat was in my top 5 west coast IPAs and I’m from the Westcoast. Can’t say enough. If you’re in the Minneapolis area DO NOT skip this place.
Wooden Hill brewing is the first place I’ve eaten at that charges extra for putting lettuce and a tomato on a burger. The sauce on the chicken tender sandwich was awesome but I often ended up with uneven bites with just bun because they use chicken tenders instead of chicken breast. The slushee, nachos, and beer were awesome.
We enjoyed the beer! Sweet potato fries were good, but cannot recommend the burger or the fried chicken sandwich (2 small chicken tenders on a bun).
Entire place is clean, has games to play, and doesn’t feel cramped! We’ll go back for beer and snacks, just not a meal. 👍🏼😊
Excellent beer. Great space to accommodate lots of people. My only complaint is the restrooms. Ladies' room had pieces of toilet paper all over the floor in all the stalls. Had obviously not been tended to for hours. No toilet paper in my stall. I checked 2 other stalls. One also had no TP and the third had small amount left on one roll with none on the back up roll. Attention to details matters!
If you are looking for a great spot to relax - have great drinks and food - look no further then Wooden Hill Brewing Company - their inside space has increased and they have a new food menu!
The burger was good. Fries were amazing. I had the kolsch and cream ale. Both went well with the burger. The bar/restaurant had plenty of seating and a good mix of booths and tables. Family friendly and inviting atmosphere. Good place to go for a date or with your kids and family.
We liked the atmosphere here. We went on a Thursday afternoon when it was not busy. The staff we spoke to were friendly, but did not seem knowledgeable about the beer types. One of them said they had not been working there very long, so maybe that was why.
We ordered burgers and a hot dog. The burgers and hot dog were quite good. The fries were crispy and very good. The beer was excellent.
They had an assortment of games you could play as well as merchandise for purchase. I saw t shirts, a Frisbee, a sign, sunglasses, and glassware.
We sat at a long wooden table which was extremely sticky. We asked for a rag to wipe the table down and it remained extremely sticky. I assume it was an issue with the table finish and the cleaning solution used.
Overall, we had a good experience and would go back!
